Now that I am about halfway through drafting the third book in my trilogy, I am starting to get a sense of its overall arc. It looks something like this:
Book 1: Start with a stable situation, mess it all up.
Book 2: Start with a messed-up situation. Bring resolution.
Book 3: Start with another stable situation. Mess it all up again.
I think I may be doing this backwards.
