I don’t know. “Please take these lightly but seriously” may be a blueprint for happiness. It’s certainly the standup comedian’s credo. : -)

Yeah, I know what you mean. It certainly applies to how we should approach the difficult things in our lives. I think of that quote, “Lightly, lightly, even though you feel it deeply.”
However, given that this is a creedal statement on the website of a group that doesn’t believe in creeds, I think in this case they are trying to assert some deeply held claims without asserting any truth claims, and they are putting the responsibility for that on the reader and how we “take” it.

This is horrendous. They’re so all-inclusive they don’t even know what to teach their children. Well, except that they should be Marxists and that it’s probably not a good idea to be white and middle class. And that sin — “however we define that” — is contextual.
Jesus is okay but the Bible’s malarky. They should call themselves Progressive Christ Vibes.
Oh, but I do like the Huxley quotation (I had to look it up).
