Yellow and Grey Baby Cardigan

I’m reaching the season of life when a) many women I know are having babies, b) I’m not anymore, and c) I actually have time to knit things for them! Can cronehood be far away?

Behold, I knit this little sweater using my stash and a pattern in a Beginning Knitting magazine. You can tell it’s handmade because of its many flaws, including the visible line where I ran out of “stash” grey yarn and had to buy some more that was almost a match. The sweater features an “i-cord bind-off,” which is the name for the 3D, rounded edges in a different color.

I don’t know whether the arms will be too long. As I recall from when my kids were babies, often if the garment fit the child’s trunk, the arms would be super long.

The yellow and grey colors were chosen because they are close to our school colors, and because the family isn’t finding out whether the baby is a boy or girl.

          1. I always transfer mine to my computer via Google drive so I can compress them.
I think I’ve written 2 posts via my phone, ever? I need to bang a keyboard to “feel” like I’m blogging 😀

I try never to write on my phone. I have never opened Google Drive on it, don’t even know if I have it on there. But my phone is my camera. In ancient days, I would transfer the photos to the desktop by emailing them to myself. Then, for some reason my gmail account started refusing to send them. So the Middle Blogging Period was me logging onto WordPress from my phone to upload photos. Now we are in Late Blogging, which involves the use of JetPack.

          3. Yeah, google drive should be a standard option if you have an android phone.
When you’re in the camera app, looking at pix, there should be 3 little dots or a caret ( < ), which should give you lots of options for sharing. One is to send to google drive, but you have to have that installed on your desktop.
Once everything is setup, it's a breeze, but just like anything techy, the setup is where all the time suck goes :-/
